The club has a stall at the George Family Market where goods made by members are sold. The stall provides an outlet for members and these sales help to cover the running costs of the club. The stall is well patronised by local and overseas tourists and thus makes a contribution to tourism in George.

The George Woodwork Club is a forum for people who enjoy working with wood as a hobby – in all It’s forms.
Among our members we have cabinet makers, joiners, wood turners and wood carvers. In our clubhouse, at the George Showgrounds, we have a fully equipped workshop. The machines are available for members to use.
We have a monthly meeting on the last Monday at of each month at 17h00 hrs. At this meeting demonstrations are held to further the skills and knowledge of members
